The Neuros

I mentioned before that I’m not a big fan of the iPod, so when I was shopping for an MP3 player, I considered all the alternatives.  I also have a very large music collection, so I really wanted at least a 60GB player.  At the time I was shopping last summer, not many products were on the market in that size.  I settled on one, but found a bunch of bugs with it.  The company ended up giving me a full refund at least.  You can read my review on that product here

After a lot more research, I found a new second generation player called the Neuros II, Player_bl_01and couldn’t be happier.  I’ve had a few problems with it, but this company stands by their product.  Their support is truly second to none.  When I first got the player, the earbuds it came with buzzed when listening to music.  I sent them an email and they had another pair of earbuds in the mail that same day.  After about two months of use, I had some serious problems with my Neuros, and it was essentially dead.  No worries, Neuros Audio emailed me a UPS return label and cross-shipped a brand new unit to me that same day.  All has been well, except last week the AC adapter it came with went out on me.  I gave them a call and they immediately sent a new adapter out in the mail.  Neuros Audio is a small company, but they are really making a name for themselves with their customer service.  I never have to worry about being hung out to dry if I encounter problems with my Neuros.

The Neuros is bigger than an iPod, but that’s not an issue for me.  It’s still considerably smaller than carrying around my entire CD collection.  The Neuros also has a built-in FM transmitter, so I can listen to it in the car.  If you are looking for an MP3 player, consider this one.  It’s been good to me.
