Is it 2001 again? The Bears had no business winning that game tonight. I guess sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.

I'd rather be good.
I think the offense was due for this. I mentioned to a co-worker yesterday that Rex is due for a little reversion-to-mean -- he plays too loosey-goosey with the ball to be a 3.3 TD-to-INT type of guy. So last night was a necessary growing pains thing -- and hopefully he will grow. Thomas Jones just needs a swift kick in the bee-hind.
The D walked through the first quarter. The Cardinals can think they're way better than their record, that's fine, but the only one who made Lance Briggs miss Brian Johnson on Leinart's 8th dink of the first drive for the TD was Briggs. In general, they just didn't seem to be around the ball like they normally are.
This team better do some damage in the playoffs this year...
I also expected something like this from Rex at some point, but never thought he'd be quite that bad. It will be very interesting to see what he does in the next game. I still support him 100% though.
I didn't think the Bears tried running the ball enough early on. That really surprised me. It's almost as if they thought they could do anything via the air now, and are losing their focus on what their identity was supposed to be.
They had better save the Tommy Harris hand-offs for much later.
