Quick Thoughts 12/9

• After beating UNI and Drake already, the ISU men’s basketball team goes for state sweep against Iowa tonight.  Hilton will be rocking.  Iowa is without their star point guard, Jeff Horner, and the crowd will be on former Cyclone, Adam Haluska all night.  (Haluska transferred to Iowa after the Larry Eustachy fallout.)  I expect the Cyclones to win by at least ten.
• The Bears play the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Sunday and this game has me concerned.  Will the Bears be able to score a knock-out blow to an injured Ben Rothlisberger?  The Steelers have struggled lately, and I’m afraid this might be the “rebound” game where they come out angry and go nuts.  Let’s just hope the Bears’ defense continues to go nuts itself. 
• I saw the movie, Just Friends in the theater yesterday.  I had low expectations for it, but it was actually pretty funny.  The premise was something I could relate to since 95% of the girls I liked in high school never wanted to be anything more than “just friends.”  I’d say this movie is probably worth a rental, but make sure you’re in the right mood for it, and don’t have very high expectations.
